Ladies Event: Shutting Out the Noise

Join us for a ladies breakfast with special guest speaker Kristen Malcolm!

While we maneuver through the world around us as godly women, are you ever bombarded with too much noise? Another parenting book to read, another show to binge, your kids' activities, your marriage, giving your best at work, your devotional life... sometimes it all just feels like too much.

During Kristen's time with us, she hopes to unpack how we can shut out the noise and dial-in to the one voice that matters. We'll talk about having limits, our true mission field, and how we can combat the anxious mindset that the world presents us.

Thanksgiving Offering

Whitby Christian Thanksgiving Offering 2024

Dear friends,

As I reflect upon our upcoming ‘Canadian Thanksgiving,’ my heart is filled with gratitude for the faithfulness and generosity that you, our church family, have shown throughout the year. It is with sincere thanks that I acknowledge your sacrificial giving that has not only sustained our church’s ongoing ministries but also supported the reduction of our mortgage. Each gift, no matter the size, has been an expression of your commitment to the vision God has placed on our church, and we are deeply grateful.

‘The Annual Thanksgiving Offering’ is a significant time in the life of our church, as it provides a special opportunity to come together in unity and contribute to the long-term health and stability of our ministry. By reducing our mortgage, we free up additional resources that will allow us to invest more into the vibrant work that God is doing in our midst. Your giving helps us ensure that we remain good stewards of what we have, so that future generations will inherit a strong and secure foundation from which to continue the mission.

Our vision extends beyond paying off the mortgage. As we look ahead, we are filled with excitement for the future of our ministry in this community. Our region is blessed with rich cultural diversity, and we feel God calling us to reach out to the many ethnicities and generations around us. We believe that the gospel message transcends all cultural and generational boundaries, and we are committed to becoming a church where people from every background and stage of life can encounter the love of Jesus and grow in their faith.

Your generosity is enabling us to take important steps toward that future. As we continue to reduce our debt, we are better positioned to expand our outreach and create ministries that reflect the needs and opportunities in our community. Whether it is through youth programs, small group ministries, outreach to newcomers, or care for seniors, we are committed to being a place where everyone can find a home and experience the transforming power of Christ.

We are confident that God has amazing things in store for us as a church, and we are excited to see how He will use us to impact this region for His glory. Your continued support, prayers, and giving are making a tangible difference in the lives of many, and for that, we give thanks. Please prayerfully consider your gift toward this year’s Thanksgiving Offering on Sunday October 13. The entirety of this offering will go towards mortgage reduction. The church accountant has provided a copy of your giving to date.

You may donate online at whitbychristian.churchcenter.com/giving by selecting the ‘Thanksgiving’ drop down. You can also place your offering in the donation boxes mounted in the main foyer or call to arrange an envelope drop-off at the church office midweek.

Please know that every contribution is more than just financial—it is an investment in the future of our ministry and the kingdom work that God is calling us to. Together, we will reduce our debt, build our ministries, and make a lasting impact on the generations and communities that follow.

Thank you again for your faithful partnership in this journey. May God continue to bless and guide us as we move forward, trusting in His provision and His promises.

With much appreciation,
Pastor Roger Malcolm
